3rd 55 Fiction;

He felt himself almost in heaven,
when he saw those deep-expressive-soft eyes,
watching  him with a delightful smile.
She was looking so stunning and vivacious.
A magnetic pull forced him to change his place beside her.
To his surprise…..
She was still watching the same place.
.
.
.
.
She was blind.

Love; In A New Paradigm

'Love' is one of the most popular words of English literature. But somehow, I feel the description of love is too irrational. I am calling it irrational because I never find rational background where it's exact meaning can be conveyed. I am not only one who is calling it irrational; our mystics, Sufis and sages also have been decorating it with 'irrational', 'no-mind', 'timeless' and other similar adjectives for centuries. Our poems, songs, sayaris have alienated the sense of love on such a virtual ground that it seems impossible to relate it to our life in a rational way.

Well, after reading some articles, I come to conclusion that 'Love' has a rational background. Love is to be valued because it enhances all the pleasures of life like music, beauty of mountains, sunrise and sunset. It can be experienced and can be felt in a very pragmatic way. And if someone has not felt it, he has missed to realize the absolute pleasure which could be realized.
Nature has made male and female with such instinctive purposes that to fulfill it; both need a complete biological cooperation. This absolute cooperation hammers the stiff shield of ego. An egoless nature is sine qua non for enjoying the magical pleasure of love.
Love is the commonest form of emotion leading to cooperation. Rationally, one can not consider love as one's state of being (to be independent of the person who is loved). Do people feel that Love is only giving? No doubt, there are exceptions. But I doubt, hardly anyone can implement such ideas in their practical life. These ideas can be enjoyed in poetry but can be hardly felt in personal life. And the real problem arises when so called definition of love contradicts the rationality of our life.
Like most of the things, love is not state-independent. Love between mother and her child is the highest form of love. Then there is our love with brother, sister, wife, community and nation. It is the intensity of love which classifies love into different states.
I do not know, to what extent, I have justified the word 'Love' as I am not very familiar with this word. But one thing I have felt, absence of love gives pain.

*Dear Reader! The sense of 'Love' is so profound that it hardly can be explained fully or perfectly by a person like me. It is just a curiosity to understand it in a scientific way(in a rational perspective).....

Lifeless Life

Yesterday, as my housemaid was explaining to my mom how she lost her nose rings, for a moment I started listening to her. She was saying that his husband slapped her so hard that it got lost in the room. And shocking thing was that her expression was showing her concern, only for nose ring. Being slapped seems like her fate or a routine of her life. To my surprise, she is the only earning member of her family, somehow caring her three small children and alcoholic husband. Well this is one particular incident but in general, such incidents are happening in more devastating form in every nook and corner of India.

What I think, there may be three reasons that has constrained such woman to live this lifeless life.
1.)     Fear of self; fear of being alone in this inhuman world.
2.)    Fear of her children’s future.
3.)    Choked with dogmatic thinking of accepting his pati as Parmeshwar
Well, 3rd reason seems me quite absurd and if there is any exception, this will be just an adoption to defend her; to be satisfied by escapism philosophy that all, which is happening, is just  result of her sins in past which is inevitable to bear in this life.
‘Fear of being alone’ is real problem, every woman have to face in this male chauvinist society. Despite she is earning member, the environment surrounds her is so bigotry that her one step of releasing herself from this hellish life would lead her to social isolation. Not only men but also the other women who are suffering too, are not going to support anyone. Ignorance breeds many deadly emotions like envy and mercilessness. A comparison that her husband beats her less than other becomes a fact of pride.
“Fear of children future” is very natural for a woman who feels a responsibility. No doubt, for a proper development of children, requirement of father is as much important as a mother. But what about those families where everyday children has to witness the naked brutality and cruelty of his father, hopelessness of her mother?
The reason of such fear, I think, is just a lack of self confidence. She has courage; she is industrious; she can earn, even can take care of children but a inhibition of doing strange, unusual is preventing to put her step. A triggering is required. And people, like us can trigger. An NGO can trigger. Media can trigger. Just she has to straighten her courage and persistence in the line of her hopelessness and weakness, many things will be sort out.
I really appreciate Kiran Bedi for her noble work in “AAP KI KACHEHRI” and give kudos to media for such constructive way to sort out such problems. She certainly proves that we can do more than to just write article on such issues. Hope! In future I will be part of such satisfying work.

A quote from my own post...
The real significance of our life reflects from the radiating eyes and happy smile, which we bring out to human being through our deeds, in the journey of our life.

Life Is Beautiful

In the stillness of my heart
A voice whispered into my ears
Warmth flowed through my veins
I felt a confluence of sense
A rhythm, a desire to dance
A wish to lose myself
In this beautiful lawns
I felt an unquenchable need
To store the breeziness, the warmth
From the cold air, inside the heart
I jumped from my body
All of sudden, I was in the sky
Flapping my large white wings of liberty
Seeing the real which was too invisible
Due to my ambition coloured spectacles
I saw people running with different lenses
Some seeing in months; some in many years
But none was seeing the present, which is so near
Chained, throughout life, with golden chains
Undying desire of money and fame
Neglecting the elixir of love and peace
They are running in passionate race
Covered themselves in different dress*
I cried and but none was going to hear
They had already put my body on pyre.

It seems paradoxical but Death teaches one to love our life. Well, about the poem ....it is imagination of soul, coming out of body. Life is so beautiful; Love life.

Aristotle's Philosophy And Life

Aristotle says, “Whole is more than sum of its parts”.

Well, his philosophy is very much significant in the case of system, where ‘whole’ is either performance of the system or the cost of the system.

Now, lets us contemplate over our life. Is his philosophy as significant and as apt  in csae of our life as it in case of system? Well, one thing is quite clear that life is more than mathematics; Life is more than quantity. It is not the number that strengths the people, it is their interaction, their cooperation that defines the strength. Beauty is not seeing the things as an individual but as a whole. So here beauty is the exceeding value of the sum of the individual things. It is the harmony of things, not the individual thing, which makes our life functional and enjoyable.

Now, I think this philosophy also signifies the existence of soul. Let’s take a difference of a dead body and living body. Well, dead body has same organs as a living body. But Life is whole, not the sum of its parts. This is your soul, which make ‘whole’ greater than sum of its part.

In a same way, in our relations too, this philosophy is quite applicable. Don’t make parts in your relations. Be like a whole. See, the goodness and badness, not in parts but in the whole of two. Feel the emotions and sentiments of each other, not as different parts but as a whole. Empathize yourself to others and then we can have sense of love which is exceeding value of the sum of all parts.

Joke I read somewhere :)

Applicants for a job on a Power Plant had to take a written examination, the first question of which was, “What does electromagnetism mean?”

Mulla Nasrudin, one of the applicants for the job, looked at this, then wrote against it:”it means I Don’t get job.”

Suicide Vs Crime

A person kills himself. What will you call him, a victim or a convict, or just a criminal? Well, our legal system will treat him as a criminal. Suicide is crime, where its subject and object, both is one.

No doubt, a person who does suicide does a crime as he is not only one who has got privilege to his life. His parents, his wife, his family and even, his nation have equal right over his life. He owes to his family, his nation and putting an end to his life is like escapism from his responsibility; his duties.

People take their life so seriously that their seriousness takes their life. A love betrayal, failure in academics and business, death of some loved one, frustration from boring life are some of its reason but the core of every reason is converged on one fact that every people who follow this heinous attempt, are  ailed with terrible hatred and abhorrence towards life. The life, which was once bloomed with love and innocence, ruins into the labyrinth of hate, distress and melancholy, and concludes with a suicide.

“Some time back, a 24-year-old resident of Delhi committed suicide by hanging herself. She had been married for barely a year and had a month-old baby. Her in-laws were arrested for harassing her for dowry. But had the victim survived, along with her in-laws, she too would have faced a prison term and perhaps, even a fine. In the eyes of the law, she would have been a criminal for attempting suicide. That's what Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) says.”

If a person kills someone, he/she is punished. But when a person attempts suicide, he/she is also punished. In former case punishment creates fear and prevents other people to follow him. But in the latter case, fear is inept to prevent suicide as a person who attempts suicide, never thinks that he/she will not die. The hatred of life and desire of death overweight the fear of punishment. How absurd it is, when, in our constitution, a person who attempts suicide has to be punished by court when he/she is already facing traumatic mental suffering from the people and society. Do you not think it will just lead him/her another suicide? Jail or bars can prevent you to killing others but what about killing yourself.

What are the fundamental flaws that are responsible for suicide and How can it be prevented is an issue of great concern. Well, faith in a supreme being; an optimistic view; courage are some of the attributes who can sprinkle the sense of love in your barren life. But development of wider and spiritual attitude towards life provides you a life, malleable and amenable where no disaster can break your consciousness. And in this development, no one can have so much impact, as a Teacher can have. The greatest aim of teacher is to teach how to love one’s life; how to respect one’s being; how to face the disaster with courage. An education system without such teacher can only create Zombies.

Love your Life; Love is blood of consciousness.

A Letter To My Beloved Teacher

My Beloved Teacher

I never thought, even in my dreams, that your guidance and teaching would have so much impact on my life. How can I forget, my life, before class 8 when I used to be so stupid with my seniors and even with you? I was footed myself in the path where there was darkness of failure. Sometimes I remind how ferocious I was when I used to wrestle with the group of my juniors, inspired by Mithun Da. There was not a single day I did not fight. You do not know, but I used to have a needle and strings in my geometry box to sew my torn cloths by daily fighting. The day was really humiliating for me when my principal called me, before my seniors, to introduce me how good I am and I, with swollen lip, somehow hiding my torn pocket of my shirt with my hands, became a laughing stock. But your presence at that moment was really so cozying. Oh! The day when some of my friends replaced the girls Tiffin Box with dirt, and whole class was beaten and I with swollen hand, weeping eyes, abusing inside the principal, was feeling a great comfort by your warmth words. It was coincidence that something happened during class 8th. I struggled inside, in your presence and for the first time, I felt the need of God and Philosophy. Everything changed and my behavior too. It is you who inspired and encouraged me in my 10th and made me to stand 1st in district. It was the greatest day of my life when I was being awarded by Governor and you, beside me, were applauding. How can I forget the moments when you told me the difference between love and infatuation? In spite of many difficulties, you showed me way to crack IIT-JEE. Your constant encouragement never let me feel any problem even, in IT-BHU. You are the one whose presence I feel everywhere and even when I am going to set my foot in professional world, I am confident, that you are always with me to guide; to inspire.

Well, My Dear Readers, you will be confused to whom, I am addressing. The word ‘Teacher’ for me is not merely a person, sometimes it’s me; sometimes it’s my parents; sometimes it’s my friends; sometimes it’s just a book; sometimes it’s your blogs.

Music; Poetry of Air

Yesterday I was enjoying music on my I-Pod and a question gushed into my mind. Is music conditioned into our mind or is it genuinely felt? Certain kind of music appears to create a pleasant ambiance where another kind creates a tragic ambiance. My question is, it really synchronized with our emotions or it is a psychological conditioning that makes us to differentiate the two.

Music, widely, varies according to countries. Every country has own line of definition which separates music and noise.  Every country inherits a certain kind of music which epitomize the culture and tradition of country. From centuries, different kind of music is used for different purposes, like there was different kind of music to fill the soldier’s with passion and excitement, before going to war; there was different type of music for kings to enjoy the passionate and salacious dance. Even today, music has changed much but at the fundamental, the element which differentiates the two types, exists.

One thing is evident, in spite of difference in the music; music is beyond country or any boundary. Music is appreciated irrespective of any language.  Music is universal and a great equalizer in terms of taste and interest. When Beethoven (during deafness period) was creating music, he used to sense the vibration through a rod into his mouth. During his period of complete deafness,  he has created the most beautiful music. This reflects that music is more than a sound, we hear. It is vibration that resonates with our inner being and fills us with ecstasy and tranquillity.  Someone has truly said,”
Music is the poetry of the air.”

No doubt, the evolution of music is effected by the dialect, we use. It gives a shape, a body to the music. But the soul of the music is same in every country. There are some patterns in music which synchronizes with our mind and stimulate our emotions as per the type of music. I really feel music as a gift to human by nature.
Just remember, the moment, when you had got  bad grades and how you forgot everything when your legs danced in the rhythm of music. Just remember! How a sweet and loving vibration flew and converged to your heart when you were hearing your favourite romantic songs.
We owe our life to music. Someone has truly said,

Music speaks what cannot be expressed,
Soothes the mind and gives it rest,
Heals the heart and makes it whole,
Flows from heaven to the soul.”

55 fiction: My 2nd Attempt

Mom, Run! Dad has got some problem.
He is trembling and is about to faint”
The ten year child yelled in an anxious voice.
"Mom! Dad has caught a paper in his hand.”
“Paper, Oh! Dear, don’t worry”
  “I have not expected!
They will deliver my diamond necklace so soon.”

What Do I Need In Life?

In the low and high tides of life, the question really concerns us what is to be needed most in life. Our needs are of individual but at very fundamental, the nature of our soul is same. so I think ,it needs same nutrition. Let me tell you what I feel about the greatest need of our life.

LOVE- For me, Love is not a word that can be so easily defined by Bollywood songs. Love can be felt, not instantly, but in complete awareness.Love completes us and fills the terrible void of loneliness. Well, I cannot define love but yet I can say what cannot be love. If anyone say his emotion ‘Love’ which is cuddled with envy, competition, distrust, expectation of receiving some thing, possessiveness and distortions of other’s individuality, I can definitely say, he/she is faking. I don’t how many person will be agree with my utopian thinking or ever feel such type of Love, But you know, hypothesis are basic steps of search.

KNOWLEDGE- I remember, in childhood, how a small green leaf of a mango tree, filled me with amazement. The round marbles, we used to play enthralled us. Slowly- Slowly as I explored these things, the amazement died out and new things substituted them. Knowledge, I feel, is residual of our exploration. An instinct, to explore, is shared by everyone. Nature has infinite capacity for exploration and so our journey to attain knowledge is never ending. We reveal mysteries; we invent new things; we discover new dimension. This is all result of our undying thirst of exploration.

COMPASSION FOR HUMAN BEING- Well, I feel, it is the best way to use your attained knowledge. The significance of our life reflects from the radiating eyes and happy smile, which we bring out to human being through our knowledge, in the journey of our life. This is something which connects our soul and gives a significant purpose to attain knowledge. Peace and serenity are gift for our compassionate nature.

One thing is evident is that all the three things, put above, are mental or emotional need. One need bread, cloth and shelter. But I think, somehow the fulfilment of these three will bring a more lovable, more humane and more intellectual being where bread, butter and shelter will not be a bigger issue..
Bertrand Russell truly says,
Life should be inspired by Love and guided by knowledge”
